When installing windows there are two different window installation methods. The two methods are pocket installation and full-frame installation. With a pocket installation, only the sash of the old window is removed and the new window is then placed into the existing frame. While this installation process tends to be quicker, and typically takes about an hour per window, pocket installation does limit you to replacing only within the existing opening. If you are considering running a bigger window in that paticular location of your home then we will have to go with a full frame installation.
Full-frame installation, however it is needed to be accomplished can change the opening to accommodate any new window shapes and sizes. With full-frame installation, installers remove your entire window frame, trim, along with anything inbetween and put in a completely new window with brand new frame, trim, and insulation in its place. Because this method involves work on both the inside and outside of the home, it is more time- and labor-intensive.
Either method provided we can assure that you will love the look of your new windows. Get intouch with Next Day Construction & Roofing today for a Free no obligation consulation and Estimate. Our Certified Experts are looking forward to hear from you.
